About an hour from the city, most of it uphill. Give the road note a quick read before you set out.
About the road
The last stretch is rough road with a river crossing. A pickup or an SUV is much easier, though a low car manages in dry weather if it is driven slowly. After heavy rain the crossing can rise fast, so call us before you set out rather than turning around at the water.
- Start from Malaybalay City proper and head for Barangay Kibalabag, west of the city, following the Kibalabag road up out of the valley.
- Keep climbing. The sealed surface gives way to gravel and packed earth on the upper stretches, and the last section includes a river crossing.
- Allow about an hour from the city, and more after rain. There is no fuel and little cell signal past the last barangay, so fill up and send any message you need to send before you leave town.
