Cebu and the Visayas to Bukidnon
From the islands you can fly or sail. Either way you're in Mindanao within a day, and from Cagayan de Oro or Davao it's the same highway up to Malaybalay City and the last hour to us.
Flying in
Laguindingan International Airport, near Cagayan de Oro, is the closest airport to Malaybalay and has direct flights from Cebu. Davao has direct flights from Cebu, Iloilo, and Bacolod. From elsewhere in the Visayas, connecting through Cebu is usually the simplest route.
From Laguindingan, vans reach the Agora terminal in Cagayan de Oro in about an hour. Airline schedules change, so check yours when you book.
The overnight ferry
Ferries sail from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro overnight, a crossing of roughly eight to ten hours, and 2GO, Trans-Asia, and Cokaliong have all served the route. Sailing days change, so confirm the schedule with the shipping line before you plan around one.
The upside of the boat: you wake up in Cagayan de Oro with the whole day ahead of you. From the port, a taxi or jeepney takes you to the Agora terminal for the bus to Bukidnon.
From Cagayan de Oro or Davao up to us
Buses bound for Bukidnon leave Agora in Cagayan de Oro every couple of hours and reach Malaybalay City in two to three hours. From Davao's Ecoland terminal, allow about four hours. From Malaybalay it's about another hour up to Barangay Kibalabag, on a road that ends in gravel and a river crossing. Our shuttle is ₱3,000 round trip and habal-habal is ₱300 for two passengers.
The whole last leg is in Cagayan de Oro to the ridge. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, so an early ferry arrival or a morning flight fits the day nicely. When you're ready, check availability.
